Drives: 2005 Volvo V50 AWD
Last summer on a trip to Ohio, if I set the cruise and kept the speed at just under 65, I could get 31 MPG on my 2005 T5 AWD V50. Gradually, since then, when I do any interstate driving, I track the mileage and it has crept down to where now I am lucky to get 26-27 mpg.

The car has 25K miles on it and my first thought was...air cleaner. I changed that, but still no improvement in mpg. And yes, I am sure that I'm clearing out the MPG to get rid of the accumulated city driving MPG before setting out on a trip.

Any other ideas on what could cause this drop? Thanks.

Have you changed the spark plugs and maybe the fuel injectors are dirty or MAF Mass Air Flow Sensor needs cleaning

It's turbo so I wouldn't expect a good gas mileage.

How often do you do oil change?
