I just broke the outbound fuel filter connector hose clamp on my 2000 XC70 - not familiar with the connector clamp assembly and cracked the thing right off of the hose trying to disconnect it from the filter.

Can someone please tell me how to properly disconnect this clamp ficture from the inbound side before I break that, too?

I suppose I'm going to have to trim the hose where I broke the outbound side and triple clamp it and get a replacement installed so it's in propper order, but right now I'm stuck in the garage, a good distance from anyone who can bail me out of this.
