RE: 99 S70, At times I must be right in front of the car for the remote to work. I have changed the battery with no results, any ideas.

I think alot of it has to do with other signals in the air waves blocking the signal to the car.Try holding the remote to either your temple or the bottom of your chin and see if it helps.It kinda uses your body as an antenna.
