I have a 2004.5 S40 2.4i, and the gas mileage is really bad. I do mostly city driving and get about 12-14 mpg. When I used it for a trip on the highway, it got all the way to 16! I did a search on the forum, and found some people getting in the upper 20s. Is there something wrong with my car that can be fixed, or am I stuck getting horrible mileage? Even if it can't be fixed, are there little things I can do to help?

Before you begin highway driving, you need to change your display to display average MPG, then press and hold Reset for 5 seconds to clear all the past crappy city mileage. No doing this will continue to average in the past couple hundred miles.

Thanks for the reply about my mileage. I don't use the mileage gauge in the car; I calculate mileage based upon the tripometer and the amount of gas I put in every time I fill up the car. I think I just got stuck with a car with bad mileage. Doesn't seem like too many others have similar problems. Thanks again for the help.
