Hi there

I was wondering what avg. FC others have achieved. I'm driving 2.4i Geartronic and have clocked 3000km. My avg F.C. is at 1L/10km or ~ 23.5 mpg. (60% city/40% hi-way). This is slightly below what the brochure says.

Have had my '05 2.4i 5 speed for about 1 month. Avg. is 27.5 mi/gallon but I am driving more on the interstate and less in the city than most.

My wife is the primary driver, and she has been getting ~26-27mpg. Although she has noticed that the red low fuel light comes on early. The manual says it has a 16.5 gallon tank and the low fuel light should come on with 1.5 gallons left. I've filled up after the light has come on and it only takes 12.5 to 13 gallons. I'm tempted to bring along a full gas can and drive another 50 miles after light comes just to see how long I can go after light comes on.
BTW: car is a 2004.5 S40 2.4i

I'm getting 18-20 mpg after a few days of very short trips in town, 20-22 mpg in town with a bit of highway thrown in, 23-27 in my usual driving mix, and 33-35 mpg on the highway.

My S40 has about 1100 miles, most of my driving is city driving and my gas mileage has been 20~22MPG. Kind of disappointing considering I'm trying to be easy on the throttle.

Ok, at almost 5500 miles and some more in town driving, I am at 25.3 mpg. I think that is going to be a bit higher than most because I have the 2.4i manual.

I should add that I do have a six speed and have used oil additives. On the highway @ 110km/hr or about 66mph I get low 7L/100km almost 40mpg
