Please don't flame me but I really need to find out if the S40 existed in 1998. I've googled it and checked AllDataPro but can't find it or anything mentioning it.

I work for a company that rebuilds ABS Brake modules and had someone send in a Bosch 5.3 which is out of the AUDI and PASSAT vehicles, he is claiming that it is from a VOLVO S40 1998 but I can't verify it so figured I'd come here and find help.

Did the VOLVO S40 come out in 1998?
