I recently saw for the first time a message displayed "check stop lamp". I figured it reffers to the rear upper brake light on the rear windshield, but everything looks to be fine. I'm wondering if I may be confused to what is the "stop lamp". The message has been displayed for about a week now. Can someone explain to me what is the "stop lamp", and what to look for?

I have an S40 2.4i 2004.

Thanks.
