The radio in my '88 740GLE quit on me and I can't find another that's worth buying, so I figure I'll just install my Pioneer CD deck. The problem I have is that the car has an EQ and two DIN plugs on the back of the radio, as well as the 6 wires that connect to the radio; but the wire adapter that they sell doesn't come with the DIN plug, nor does my car have a plug that the adapter plug that's available fits. Is there a way to properly connect the aftermarket radio without having to rewire the speakers? Is there any possible way to still use the EQ?

hi,

not sure if this will help you:

http://www.caraudiodesign.co.uk/product_in...roducts_id/2860

it's the din cable i need for my C70 premium sound set up if i want to use the existing amp (which i do).. prior to the plug on the C70 becoming a din (if you follow it further down the back of the dash) you get a normal rectangle multiplug which can also be used for connection to the speakers.. not sure if other volvo models are the same though??? HTH
