I have a 1998 T5 GT with 100K miles.

The car is general very good in all areas although I am experiencing heavy steering when approaching full lock in either direction.

I had made visit to my local Volvo main dealer who applied grease to the poli-steering bushes slightly easing the problem. The dealer explained this is a “design issue” on this model. Any comments or modifications available?

Occasionally I experience a grinding on full lock and slight knocking over ruff ground. Any suggestions welcome…..

Chris.

I get the dealer to lubricate the steering rack periodically, which helps on mine. I too have been told that it is a "feature" of the C70.
