Hi,

If anybody can help it would be appreciated, how many quarts of oil does the v70glt 1998 use. What kind is better, synthetic or regular oil? Thanks.

The type of oil is a prefrence.I like synthetic oil.As for how much it takes by Volvo's standards if it has a red dipstick tube it takes 5.5 quarts with filter change.If it has an orange dipstick it takes 6 quarts.I always put 6 quarts in and it always reads full no matter what color the dipstick is.

:clap: Thanks tech. I really love this volvo it gives me a lot of horse compare to my Honda with V-tech. Sorry, what's the recommended weight for the oil? My car have 66000 on it.

10/30 or 10/40 is the best all around oil to use.That is what we had at the dealership in our bulb oil.
