Hi

First post as a Volvo owner having, with some regret I have to say, shifted from being a happy Saab 9-5 SE owner to a Volvo S40 D 'put upper witha'!!!

Anyway, is mildly vague steering with little in thbe way of driver feedback a known 'feature' of the Series 1 S40 (1999 V). Serious question as, if so, I can just lump it rather than bother my local garage with it.

Response much appreciated.

Are you just having trouble with the steering being stiff?Is the fluid level ok?

Steering not stiff ... in fact, feels a bit loose. Fluid is fine.

Hi.
I have a 2001 T4 and am happy with everthing except the steering which is vauge at higher speeds 60-75. I like you are, not sure if this is normal or, if there are any cures?. Everthing else is fine.
Will let you know if I find the answer.
