Hi Guys.

I'm looking for a good air filter. eVolve don't have this so I search on the global leader: K&N.

Fortunately, they have 2 options:

Air Filter part 33-2873 (this replace the stock)

Typhoon Kit (SR) 69-9000TP

This last one come with instructions and they indicates you can receive an improvement of 14.61 HP @ 3900 RPM (i don't believe that).

I already request a quotation and will keep this post updated as soon as I receive information from K&N.

I'm planning to add good breakes to the S40 (The HEICO disks and break pads are amazing) but I will try to search for some Brembo pads and disks.

The eVolve exhaust appears to provide better power but the HEICO are beautifull.

recomendation, tips and hints will be really appreciated.

Regards and happy new year 2007!

Evolve can be slow with responses, but I cant rave enough over the products (dp, exhaust, brakes so far). The dp and exhaust sound amazing. The guy that works on my car says the quality is really impressive also.

An air filter that gives 16hp?! Id love to see that.

But evolve don't have filters for the S40.

I agree with you, this is too much HP for just a filter, but you can check in the K&N webpage and see the Typhon for the S40.

The typhoon is more than just a filter. It is an intake kit; similar to a CAI.

I have read on another forum about some people who have installed it and felt a difference. I have also read about a couple of them having problems with their CELs coming on after the installation. I definitely think that there would be a small HP gain but 14 sounds a little optimistic.

BTW, I was messing around at CarDomain and I found some pics http://www.cardomain.com/ride/655914 The first two pics show the Typhoon installed.
