Hello everyone. I am currently doing a little bit of restoration to a 1996 Volvo 850R Wagon that I hope to sell and could use a little bit of help. The 850 and R emblems on the rear hatch of vehicle have horrible wear/scratching. If anyone knows where to buy these other then a dealer (they wanted 60 dollars for both) i'd greatly appreciate any guidance to a web site, phone number, etc. I did quite a bit of searching and couldnt come up with anything. Furthermore, my headlight wipers recently decided to stop working in the upright position. Although it looks quite funny, it's not too much of a laughing matter as that isn't a good selling point. I was wondering if anyone has fixed their own headlight wipers and could offer any insight on how to troubleshoot, or possible repair these without spending too much $$. I sourced the motors and they are 100 dollars each which I would rather not spend if I could pull of a do it yourself fix with your guys help. Any and all information anyone could provide will be greatly appreciated and much needed. So thanks in advance to anyone willing to help. :)

Nick

IPDUSA sells them new. Website is at ipdusa.com

But if you want them cheaper, try going through the local junkyard. Definitely cheaper.

Alternatively, have the present emblems REPAINTED into chrome-paint. Looks just as new.

:)

Try searching the archives, this issue has been brought up before, I think. As i remembered that it was a pain in the arse to remove the motors.

I already tried going with IPD but they only sell the R portion of the badge and i'm not sure if that is the same R that is on a S60, V70, or an 850, or if that would even matter because I don't know if the R is the same on all those models. If someone could tell me if that's the same R that is on my car before I end up calling them, that'd be nice. However I do know that they do not sell the 850 emblem, as I already tried that.

My headlight wipers decided to go back to the normal position, I have no clue how. Is there a button that you hit to make the headlight wipers go on/off?
