just brought an 97 850 T5 wagon for the wife. the only glaring problem is the radio doesn't work. the dealer got the code but it still doesn't come on when entered. is there anything special i need to do or is the radio kaputz. he said he would replace it if i couldn't get it going. he said he had to jump start it when he tried to start it this morn and thats why he thought the radio stopped working... opinions and expertise welcome. thanks happy volvo owner :460:

When you entered the code what happened?

Did it have EEEE on the screen?

If so it is the wrong code.
Have your local Dealer get the code off the Radio info.

If it says OFF then you will need to leave the key in the 1st position till it says code.
Usually takes 2 -3 hours.
