Hi... just purchased the PPC and it is not installing. I followed procedure but I get a please wait message and no progress. I synchronized the PPC with the BSR server and I get the message of "unable to determine ECU type". Has anyone had this happen? Bo Engstrom is looking into it but I thought maybe someon had already gone through this.

Thanks!

Dan.

and from your post on the subwoofer topic thread:

"""by the way, i see a chip here in mexico who cost 1000 usd and add 50 horsepower... is this real? the price is high right?""

hi... what chip is that? I have the BSR PPC and it has made a big difference... qiucker acceleration, lots more torque... notcieable... on paper it adds about 40HP and about 60 lb of torque... it cost me about $1000... worth the investment!

check it out at http://www.bsrab.se

This sounds great, does the dealer sell it and does it affect vehicle warranty in any way? Do you have Stage 1 or 3?

Scroll down this BSR Form, there are two stages for this for my car, the power improvement is significant. http://www.bsrab.se/products/

How about fuel mileage, have you noticed any difference?

Hi... as far as I know the dealer does not sell it... as for warranty, from my own experience, anything you do to the car will void warranty according to them... but when you firtst install the PPC it stores the original mapping and you can switch forth and back whenever you want, as many times as you want... so there is no way they can know you installed the performance maps. The gains ARE noticeable.

As for fuel mileage, I am still measuring it... but I guess that depends on how hard you step on the pedal :-)

Stage 1 is supposed to be performance air filter + cat back... I have a cold air intake + cat back and that is supposedly stage 2... in any case, it is not stage 3.

Cheers!
