Hi there,

having a real problem with the starter motor on my volvo 440, have a haines manual but it seems to be missing out important steps as in how to get to it.

Ive removed the air filter thinking the starter motor was underneath, apart from not being able to see it, whats the best way to access it?

can any one advise, ive changed a starter on a 240 but this is making me feel a right i d i o t (wasnt sure why i d i o t was censored, didnt swear honest)now, so if anyone can give simple description of what i need to do, that would be greatly appreciated.

YOUR STARTING MOTOR IS UNDER YOUR AIR FILTER COVERED BY A SMALL PROTECTIVE PLATE ITS REALLY SMALL FOR A STARTER ,REMOVE THE PLATE AND YOU WILL SEE IT MATE.. :thumbsup:
