Hello all! First post on this board for me - I just got my S80 this week.

I love the car, and it drives well. As I continue to get to know it, I have noticed that the frame around the side windows is not painted, but is actually some kind of laminate/adhesive. The texture is rougher than the paint finish too. This isn't a problem, but it looks like this laminate is beginning to peel and bunch up in certain places, and it looks bad.

The car is black, and so is this laminate stuff, so you can't even tell there is a problem from a distance, but this looks like one of those things that could get worse pretty quickly.

Any thoughts on this and how to fix/replace it?

Is it rubber?

In anycase, you could replace the inner linings. Am not sure if you could get it from any other source aside from the dealer, as its not quite something that falls under the 'generic/OEM' category... Meaning, it's sized up perfect.
