Hello to the Volvo Forum!

This is my first post to the site and I want to say the information located on these pages is great! With that in mind I wanted to share my latest maintenance visit and lessons learned with everyone.

I took my wife's S60 2.4 non turbo in for the EEC recall and wanted them to take a look at a few other things. To ground everyone, the car was purchased new and has 46,000 miles so far.

Other issues besides recall:

Oil Leak on passenger side (RH) a few drips on the garage floor
Clicking noise on the front RH suspension

The oil leak was not able to be traced at the first visit so dye was added and a week later I brought it back and the source was a capped oil return port (oil return port for turbo equiped models) where the plug washer was leaking. $1.97 part

The suspension links all the way around needed replaced (odd for 46K) and the engine torque mount on the top of the engine was split in the web that was R&R'd. The car rides much better now. These seem to be a problem why Volvo doesn't have a TSB we may never know.

All said and done this vist was $500 for all the above work no extended warranty because I figured with a Volvo "hey who needs that??" If an extended warranty is offered take it if you plan on keeping the car for awhile!
