Hi
My 98 S90's temp guage is having a fit! Also the AC wont work when it's pegged on hot. The engine isn't overheating.
My Volvo guy, on the phone, says it's a bad sensor.
Is this an easy fix? Could I replace it or should I let my local Volvo guy do his magic? And pay what is basicaly another car payment on a 98 car!

Thanks, watching this space eagerly..........

Well, no replies came... :puzzled:
Anyway, the problems are all fixed. The temp sensor (under the thermostat housing) was changed. And the doo hicky valve that sends hot exhaust gas into the injector to warm up the mixture on those cold mornings was also changed. That took care of my CHECK ENGINE light.
So I have a great running S90. Until the next problem of course!

Jeff,
I am having the same problem with my AC. Also did your volvo send hot air when you stepped on the gas to accelerate in addition to the temperature gauge problem. If you don't mind, how much was the temperature gauge fix...my car is at the volvo dealership now. Thanks in advance.
