Hello!

I have a 98 V40 1.8 with automatic a/c.
Sometimes, right after I start the engine, the light on the A/C button flashes orange several times. When that happens, the A/C cools like crazy (in summer) or heats like hell (in winter).
The Volvo manual says, that this indicates and error in the A/C. Okay, I figured that out myself.
So I went to my motor club and they read the error code from the car's electronic.
The error code is 212 (or 213/214) and has to to with the temperature valve controller (at least that's my translation from German to English -> Temperaturklappen-Steller).
Additional Info: Interrupt or shortage in power supply after plus.

They have reset the error but since the motor club doesn't do any repairs I was left with that information.

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem (change fuse? - which one, how?)?. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The fault is caused by a trim air valve under the dash starting to go wrong. I had mine diagnosed by volvo here, replaced by them which was about £180 inc parts, labour and diagnostics if I remember correctly.
