I've got power to the two prong pug underneath and in the center of the seat bottom. What else can I check? :liebe011:

You may not be aware of the recall on the heated seats. The elements break or shortout. Mine actualy burned a hole in my seat i replaced driver side about a year before the recall was issued. Volvo refunded the cost of the job and replaced both seats heaters. All is great now. Good luck hope this helps

Yes, check the recall first.

I have the problem where the driver's seat heater does not work, but the passenger side does.

Will the dealer do the work even for a 13 year old car?

How do I ask for this work? Is there a recall number I can cite for the seat heaters? Something I can say to the service manager at the dealer to allow him to look it up and confirm the recall?

Thanks!

A recall is a recall, and it affects all cars that are within the area of announcement. As long as your car has not been 'treated' for the recall, you qualify for it.

Call them up and dont take no for an answer.

Yes more info please! I wouldn't mind to get my drivers side working again! Lets see what other recalls could I qualify for>? I just dont know how to look them up and find out of the work has already been done. I do have the papers and the maintenance records tho and it doesnt say anything about seats.
