:cat: Hi there everybody.

Just read our local community newspaper.

A 96 year old man and his 94 year old wife celebrate 70 years of marriage today.

The Swiss ambassador to New Zealand is to give them a visit today. The man was a Swiss national who moved to New Zealand when he was 3 years old.

I can't imagine what this place must have looked like 93 years ago!

We have about 4,000 Swiss nationals living in New Zealand. I can't imagine why they would bother to leave Switzerland and move to the bottom of the South Pacific.

But then, I don't understand everything else either!!

Cheers :right:

Wow...

96 and 94 years old + 70 years of marriage...!

Cool. Both my grandparents on my father's side died before they were 90. And that was when I was quite young. On my mom's side, my grandad (miss him a lot) passed away when he was 88 due to old age sickness. He was quite active in his younger years. My grandmom is still around, though. We may be visiting her next month...
