Hi !
I've recently bought a '96 960 3ltr 24v estate. So, what's the first thing every new owner gets....yep, the dreaded Haynes Manual !!!
But....they don't seem to do one for the 3ltr 960 !!

Do I just buy the one that covers the 940 & 960 ?

Does anyone else do manuals ?

Thanks
Jock

In my opinion the haynes manual for the 940/ 960's leaves a lot to be desired, for instance there seems to be no detailed information on the parking brake. I ended up buying the CD on manual for all volvos '83 to 2000, that has better information, plus the correct wiring diagrams. BTW mine is the 91 940 Turbo, and my guess is that maybe you need to buy the 740 manual as well (but I would want to check the content first).
I must say I was really surprised at the lack of content for a haynes manual, in the past they have always served me better than this one did.
the wiring diagrams I refer to seem to only cover the SE model, and as you point out they dont seem to cover the whole range of engines either.

Hello sir,
I'am driving a 940 turbo from 1996. Still running already 450.000 km the car is up to now wonderfull and given a lot of satisfaction.
Today the heating installation suddenly leaks a lot of cooling stuff, before I pass to the dealer I will know what happens.
Therefore I was wondering if you still have those manuals.
This is the first time I am using this forum, thus I do not know everything yet. I will appreciate any respons.
kind regards
Jan Evens

Hi, Jan.

Yep I have the data manuals, but it would not be practical for me to try and help you without a specific enquiry about a fault !

There is way too much detailed information in these manuals to pick just one little bit out !!

To be honest...........you would be better to spend €20 on a set of manuals from datamanuals.com...........they would probably be in your own language too !

Hope this helps ,
Jock

I need a manual for a 940 I just purchased (which needs a head gasket replacement). Do you still recommend buying the the CD Manual? I want to keep the cost down.

Thanks! Glenn
