Hi there. Can people advise if the 52K service on V50D is a 'main' or 'interim' service as prescribed by the 'alternative to main dealer' brigade. I'm inclined to take my car to Kwik Fit or someone similar as I plan to keep it till it dies, so not too concerned about approved/main dealer stamps any more. Thing is, they only give 2 options - 'main' and 'interim' and as the main Volvo dealer who last serviced it at 40K hasn't detailed what they did (apart from the £230.00 price!) I don't know what needs doing this time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It is an '08 plate btw.

Do you people have the equivalent of a "CarFax" available, or the ability to go online and see what specific services were rendered while the vehicle was under warranty ?
Even if your Dealer didn't detail it in your little Customer Record Folder, they should have reported it to the Volvo Gods in order to get the appropriate reimbursement if anything they did was covered. Maybe a quick call to Volvo UK would be in order ? |
