Always a possibility, though you need to clean oil off and see for certain where it is coming from.

Ran across same problem with my 98 C70 w/ 2.3. Found oil blowing out factory hole in head/ cover just to the right of PCV breather ( black rubber pipe ), I made a cover plate and gasket, ultra black silicones it down and no more leak. Have pictures if needed, can e-mail them. Hope it helps.

sounds like your oil trap is blocked, it is a small black plastic box bolted on to the head that is part of your breather system try remove and clean.

I think that i have the same problem! I replaced the entire PCV system with the iPd PCV kit, and replaced the oil cap/seal but i still am dropping about a nickel sized drop in my driveway every day. It would really help to get those pictures. Main seal and cam seal are not leaking from what i can tell.

Well I'm new to this model (C70), had a 850 years ago... I have an oil leak similar to that described here. The PCV system was recently replaced, and the oil fill cap appears to have a servicable seal. To the OP, are you sure it's engine oil. I believe I have a leak in the power steering system (hose is swollen, w/oil weep on resivoir and lines). This could be getting "slung" around the engine by the fan belt, and blown toward the rear by air coming from the front grill. That's why it's imperitive to clean well for diagnosis.

Note, if you open the oil fill cap, there should be no "pressure" escaping... you'll have some oil spray from the rotating assemblies, but not pressure. If there's pressure when you remove the cap, there is a failure in the PCV system wheather it's just been replaced or not.
