Hello from Chicago,

I'm an Army Reservist (12T- Technical Engineer), father of one and just purchased a white on tan '99 S70 AWD as the new family car. The car looks pristine, but is not without its faults as I am sure any used Volvo is.

My first was a '90 or '91 740 GLE in very bad shape and didn't make it too far, but it sparked my love affair with Volvo. That was almost 10 years ago. My current one is brand new in contrast and I am eager and willing to keep her going so she can get me through the next four years (or more) while I finish school.

This is my first taste of "luxury" and I am relishing it. I hope to gain some good advise from as many fellow enthusiasts here as possible and learn some new things about my car along the way.
