If anyone could, would you please check the part number on your oil dipstick. It is located on the bottom of the dipstick where oil level indication is?
From my research the part number should be 271670. Mine reads 3528487. My dilemma is that after an oil change and checking the oil level cold
the next morning my dipstick level shows a 1/2 quart low.

My 98 S90 was manufactured July 1997.

was the oil filter changed too? if so the 'missing' oil might have gone to fill that (as the air is expelled from the filter), you usually need a couple of extra pints if you change the oil filter too.
I would recheck to make sure you arent losing oil (check drain plug is tight)etc.

I did change the oil, filter and checked for leaks. This is my first oil change on this car as I recently purchased it. This is my 3rd 98 S90.
