Hi all; so having codes for O2 sensors after replacing the Cat in August, I also thought its wise to replace the PCV canister at 140K miles. My 1997 960 has been a perfect car with almost no issues. My shop got the O2 sensors changed easy, then they took 4 hours to replace the PCV can and hoses. WOW $320 in labor. Then 2 days later I'm traveling to see the daughter an find oil dripping under my baby. Sure enough, its down a quart and the underside of the car is blasted with oil. Took 2 quarts to get home (200 miles). Should have left the PCV system alone. On the bright side, the oil will help in rust prevention. bob

if it has a turbo, then your seal were it goes into the crankcase for your oil return pipe is not being fitted correctly.

No Turbo, 960 wagon with straight 6 2.9L. Mechanic says 2 hoses go to the crankcase so one must be loose.

UPDATE; Now my 960 has thrown a PO422 code after I replaced the O2 sensors a week ago. The car goes back in wed for serpentine belt and pully's that they claim are making noises and should be replaced, then they will address the oil loss from the PVC replacement they did 2 weeks ago. Now the code?????? Any idea's, bob

failing mass air flow sensor, lot of people get fooled by that code , thinking it is the O2 sensor.
