My built in sat nav is no longer working. On starting the engine it starts "loading" but as it gets to the homepage it cuts out (taking the cd/radio electronics with it) and then starts the process over again. I have been quoted over £1300 by a dealer who has found fault trace MMM at fault for a new system which is ridiculous for a 2004 car now worth less than £10k, but surely there must be a way to at least turn the system off and for it to stay closed rather than the perpetual annoying loop every time i turn the engine on and drive anywhere? Apparently not says the dealer! Any suggestions?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cat.gif) Good morning tim2003.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/00000732.gif) Welcome to the forum and Greetings from the South Pacific. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)

It may pay you a dividend to join any Volvo club in the UK and get some advice from their members about your car overall.

Sorry I can't give you anymore advice about that.

Cheers and Good Luck (IMG:style_emoticons/default/right.gif)

it should be a disc that holds the information try getting a CD cleaner, to clean the head and check the disc for dirt may need cleaned.your unit should be in your boot, left or right hand side,to hold the disc.
