Hi all, my 2006 C70 T5 has recently started to randomly display the anti skid service required display. Coupled with this, the wipers start going and the indicators cannot be used! The car runs ok but is obviously dangerous as I can't indicate. Any help will be gratefully received before I have to take it in to be ripped off. Many thanks

Checked fuse box which is ok. The fact that the wipers are on as well is a worry. The fault is constant now. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and part with vast amounts of cash.

you will need to get your wiring checked for breaks in the wiring or bad earth's.

Thanks for your help, I'll try the local garage first before going to Volvo.

Were it not for your wipers now acting up, I was going to say you should check to see if you have a cracked Reluctor Ring (Tone Ring) on the ABS. You can do this by eye-balling the teeth on the Ring by pulling the Wheel Sensor out of each wheel and peering down through the hole as the wheel is rotated.

When cracked, these Rings act normal at lower speeds; but with centrifugal force, the crack spreads or opens up and creates an erratic magnetic impulse that can't be used for computing the differences in wheel speed.

Then, when you slow down, the crack closes as the Ring returns to its normal shape, and the ABS operates like normal. I've replaced both "front" Reluctor Rings on my S-60 (1 year apart) due to rust and frost, getting between the ring and the axle, and ultimately causing the Ring to crack.
