The drivers side low beam headlight on my wife's 2007 V70 went out yesterday. Does anyone know a trick to replacing this bulb. I'm fairly handy, but with everything in there I can't even get to it. Thanks

I did my 850 the other week and its a tight squeeze and almost impossible to see what you are doing, theres one wire clip that has to be unclipped to get the bulb out, I seem to just fumble around until it unclips, then spend 10 minutes trying to clip it back in again.a small dentists type mirror might help you see what you are doing, but its tight.
the plastic cover is a part twist to release.

check the fuse box first, if ok then change both bulbs,or your bulb failure relay light will come on.

I did our 2004 V70 and yes it was tight on the driver's side but using a small mirror on the end of an extendable rod helped enormously. The information on this forum was also invaluable in tackling this task. You have to remove and replace the bulb blindly but if you work slowly and using just your finger tips it can be done. The biggest part is patience. Lots of patience will pay off. When removing the wire clip from the bulb be gentle. When I went to do the passenger side, which is enormously easier, the light clip fell apart. It is plastic and the age and heat just makes the cheap plastic crumble. Needless to say I stopped before I created a real problem. Now I have to go get a new wire for the passenger side before I can install the new bulb. So far with only one new bulb in place I haven't had any warnings. Good Luck.
