Did you ever sort out your radio code?

I have a 2002 V40 imported into NZ, ex Japan which is fitted with the same type of radio unit as is your vehicle.
Many of the Serial Code digits / Prefix letters etc relate to yours shown in your photo attachment.
Where yours has the words * ANTI THEFT * to the right side of the Serial No. my unit has a 4 digit Number being *6666* (this * may be the key to this)
I have read in other forums that some units do have the radio code shown on them as well as in the cars owners manual. Okay if you have a manual i guess???
I have not yet had a need to disconnect my battery, nor a desire to test the theory but I am hoping that the number *6666* is what I will need to use when the need arises.
I still infact need to get a suitable FM band expander installed as here in NZ the frequency extends out to 108.Most of the good stations are between 90 - 108 which is a nuisance.

Suggest maybe you could try *6666* yourself, it may work perhaps by a fluke??

Interested to know also how you got on anyway if you resolved problem in the interim.
