Hello,
I just bought a 2004 C70 convertible. GREAT deal, almost pristine, however the original owner let the front seats get sun baked and they are starting to crack. Does anyone make replacement skins for the 2004 C-70?

Thanks for the help,
Randy

I'm not sure what an auto car breaker is. Do you mean a salvage yard? Thank you for the response. If a used set isn't an option, are there new skins available? And do you know where?

In Australia we have numerous "motor trimmers" who specialize in replacing all types of car upholstery and soft tops to match the original, especially with car restorations. There must be an equivalent in the US that you can find in the Yellow Pages or on the web where you can get a quote to replace the damaged leather professionally.

I took the skin off all seats + headrest, steering wheel, armrest etc etc ... I took it with me on my trip to Southamerica; I gave it to a recommended upholstery place and I got back a perfect new leather new color copy of what I took. I blog "how to" for the skin installation and basically I have a new and luxury interior on my 1998 C70 HPT coupes; I did the same for my kid's car (1993 940 T)The car outside looks like cr.... but it has a great interior.
The stitches and returns of the work done for both cars are the same as it came from the factory. Let me know if you would like to see some pics before and after. Total cost $ 2,100 including hog rings and pliers for the skin installation. My kid's car ... $ 1,700. I believe these guys can accommodate the shipping there and back for $ 200
I spent two weeks there and my stuff was done in four days.

Check out the products below. I'm about to try it on my C-70 with the same problem. Saw this stuff used on TV and seats came out like new. Or, if you want to get them re-covered, I recommend Ajaye's Upholstery in Kennesaw.
