I am jazzing up a really nice 94 960 for a christmas surprise. It currently has the stock alloys, 6x15, on it (see attached). I have a spare set of rims off of an 850 (6.5x16)that would look good (attached also). What type of spaces should I get and what size? any help appreciated!

Look at the back of the old and new rims and compare the "offsets" (the 3rd number) that are stamped into the casting to see that they are very similar so that you won't have any rubbing on the suspension components.

And remember, you'll have to consider tires with a smaller profile (distance from the rim to the tread) on the 16" Rims to maintain the same circumference.

For example I run 195/65/15 tires during the Winter and 205/55/16 tires during the Summer; but the circumference is virtually identical.

There are charts posted on this Forum which will help you make these comparisons in offsets and varying tire sizes.

if you have the old model that has the same rims as a 940 then you can have 25mm in the front and 30mm in the rear
