Ok, so I have always wanted one, now I have her. She is going to get painted and look pretty. I am female, she must be shiny, first..lol. Then what should I do for her next? I browsed but only have my phone with me, so it is kind of difficult. Is there a link someone could provide that will get me to a thread that has a checklist, or a play by play of a restoration? I know I want new wheels, but I may not have luck locally. Would love some nice old Volvo rims. Mary has ugly wheels now. Yes, the kids named her. Well, off we go. Thanks, in advance, for any links. If I don't get any links, I will surf around later when I have wifi. Have a great day.

For wheels, I am a sucker for the Virgo set that came on the turbo models:

As to restoration, it depends on what's trashed.

For mechanical parts, FCPGroton has a great selection: http://www.fcpgroton.com/index-exec/sub_to...1116/by_year/38

For parts as well as interior/trim/aftermarket toys, IPD also rocks: http://www.ipdusa.com/prodtype.asp?VL=713

Thanks for that info. I just got it back from the body shop. She looks better. I like those wheels. But, I really like the wheels that came on the gl model. Right now, she got a little hot when I drove her home. She had very little coolant and that turns out to be because her tank is cracked. Looking for one on line now for a new coolant tank. It is double the price for genuine Volvo part. May just have to pay $50 plus for the tank. But, I knew what I was getting into. Just glad my hubby can do the labor.

What is the difference in the caps, though? I am thinking, I should get a new one but which one? Which pressure rating is better... .75 or 1.5? Thanks.

ok so it was making noise and i took it to the muffler shop. they said the noise was because my catalytic converter had broken up and was in the muffler. so i had them replace it. i thought that was the end of it, but when the guy hands me back my keys, he said, " Have a mechanic check out your car, there is something else going on, because the catalytic converter should have never broken." So, I asked him for examples and he recommended i just have the engine looked at. what the heck? Should i just park her until i can take her to a shop? Could i somehow break it again and screw up my car even worse?

How about changing the rims and make some flames on the car. I think it should look something racing stuff if you like. Buy some wide tire and change them. Then put some logo on the hood top. You think about it and I will think about other modification which can be done with this car.
