Was leaving a parking lot yesterday and as the transmission shifted, I think from 2nd to 3rd gear it seemed to slip and the RPM's went to around 4,000. I removed my foot from the gas pedal and as the RPM's dropped the transmission shifted into the next gear. It did it once before, but that was during a substantial rain, and I thought it may have hydroplaned. However, this time it was on...

Does anyone know how to check the level of the gearbox oil on my S60/top it up as necessary, noticed a slight sound coming from that area in certain gears 3rd and 4th mainly - 1st , 2nd and 5th are all dead quiet.

Just wondered how to check and then top up the oil level if required?

This is more of a general question I guess..... I noticed that on one side of my s60, the windows have a purplish streaking/staining. Today, I got my windows tinted and it has become much more noticeable with the tints. Anyone have a clue what this is and how to get it out?

I recently purchased an ODB2 reader and got a fault code of P0030, which when looked up gave me the following message:

Heater Circuit

Does anyone have an idea of what this is? And, is there a book or site out there where I can look up the codes and receive a quick reference on how to repair?

when driving in my volvo s60 auto when the gear flicks from 2 to 3 there is a loos of power for about a second and the revs go up high, like the car is in neutral and the pedal is bieng pressed,
the revs go upto like the 3 mark on the counter
is this gonna become a problem or should i not worry?

On the '05 S60 2.5T AWD (USA) models, are the seats all leather or a combination of leather and "leatherette?" There seems to be a difference on the smoothness of the leather between the center, where your body touches the seating surface and the sides & back. Just wondering if the tires needed for 18 inch wheels cause problems for the s60...... Im looking at maybe purchasing 18 inchers but am not going to do so if the tires rub the wheel wells every time I turn (among other potentially more serious problems). Anyone have experience with this??
