OMG this is such a releif. I was begining to ponder the thought that I would have to take my xenons out and put my old halogens back in for state inspection. I could go to a non-volvo shop but they would still notice the bulb failure message and little orange triangle in the dash and probably not pass my inspection or ask me why if they could not figure it out which of course they could cause of...

I had my first service done away from the Volvo dealership. 2004 S60 AWD

Do any of you know how to reset the service required message. (Canadian model).

The sales rep is trying to find this out for me as well. He knows it involves the pressing of the trip computer button and while holding in another button.

I own a 2004 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD. I have noticed that usually when I am driving and it starts to rain heavly, there is a loud siren sound coming from the engine area. This sound stays till it doesnt stop to rain. Also, if I dont step on the accelerator, the sound goes away.
I have taken it to the dealership a couple of times but havent been able to replicate the sound.

Brake Booster replacement:

First start by Disconnecting the Battery.

Then open the hood and remove the Upper torque mount cross member.

Next remove the Air filter housing.

The remove the Big Cover over the Relay/fuse panel under the hood.
Once the cover is off remove the 13mm nut for the Positive cable.

Has anyone taken the bulbs out of the lights on the rearview mirrors i want to change the bulbs to some silver bulbs im just sick of looking at the egg yolk in the clear lens. If anyone knows how to take the bulb out and the replacement bulbs i would apreciate all the help i can get. i checked the owners manual and it just says to have the dealer do it but i dont feel like paying 50 bucks to have...

I've looked in the manual and under the hood, and I can't find the dipstick for auto transmission fluid. Does it exist? Where is it? I have no pressing need to get to it, I just wanted to see if there was enough fluid, and if it had gone yucky yet (probably not, I have a 2002 S60 with 46,500 miles).

Hi, today I went out for a drive on m 2003 S60 2.4T, and noticed that when turning left the car start vibrating, after 2 or 3 turns, it started making noices, and then It simply stopped moving.

The engine was on, and I heard a rattling noise when accelerating. I've just changed a bad driveshaft about 4 months ago. Even when the car is on "Parking" it moves like it was on...

So I recently purchased an 01 260 2.4T with 43,000 miles on it. It was a 1-owner, I think summer car, located in Florida with impeccable service history. The car is pretty much pristine minus some minor blemishes I plan on fixing.

I have recently noticed a whirring noise behind dashboard after shutting off my 02 S60. The sound lasts about 45 seconds, then stops. I initially thought it sounded like the CD turning but have ruled that out. A friend's 01 S60 seems to have the same symptoms when I mentioned it to him. Guidance as to what could be the cause? Today my 2004 S60 made some type of loud humming noise. It was almost like a siren. It was raining outside and it happened as I was coasting at about 50 miles per hour. As I came to a stop the noise stopped and hasn't happened again. Any ideas?

I have a 2005 S60 that I need to remove the right rear door panel. Outside door (metal) bumped in slightly but no paint scrape damage. I think I can bump it back out from the inside if I can access it.

I've just picked up an 03 S60 D5 and noticed that the CD player in the HU 803 works intermittantly or works less of the time than it does!

I keep getting a CD Error message on the display however I can still eject CD's no problem.

The radio itself works fine.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Recently bought a S60 for my wife. What a joy! I have driven a BMW for years and this S60 is a breath of fresh air, great mileage, comfort, style and handling.

I'd like to change my factory stereo to a Pioneer DEH-P680MP. I've searched through the forums, but there was no specific answer.
My question is:
Is it possible to upgrade to the new deck, while keeping the factory Navigation system operational??
Will it give me problems due to the fact that the navigation system uses the factory speakers for its own...
