Hi Everyone.

Can anyone tell me if there is any problems/differences between USA S80 left hand drive parts (new/used) for installing into right hand drive S80's - ie; air conditioning compressor, etc.

I would like to upgrade my radio in my 1999 S80 from the HU611 to the HU 801.

I can buy a used HU801 for $275.00 but I do not know if it is that simple. Are the two systems completely different? Ie. do they use different speakers, do I need to buy the center speaker, does it utilize external amps???? I would like to keep the same factory look and not use an aftermarket head...

I currently have a coolant leak on my 1999 Volvo S80 T6. I have struggled to find a picture so far, but can describe the location. I have investigated this hose and it is the one leaking every now and then Currently Volvo want to charge me for the full hose which will cost $107 (Australian). A bit steep for a hose especially when I only need to extend the hose.

Is it possible to interchange just the sender part of the MAF . I have a S80 D5 and I have put the MAF from an Opal Vectra on it . It works OK , But will they have different values ?

I've got a S80 1999 2.9 which seems to require extended cranking to get it fired into life. If the car has been running and is stopped for a short while it will start again pretty much on the first crank, but if left for a while / overnight will take a good 6+ seconds of cranking before it starts.

also what is recommended at 100,000 miles and when should the timing belt be replaced?

just bought a used 99 Volvo S80, T6.

one month after i got it, all gages on car stop working, Service Air bag Urgent Message comes on, and the Brake light and ABS light come on. windows stop working.

Dealership said it was the climate control module and would be $1200 to repair it.

does this sound right?

Having a high quality car, I am very surprised to encounter a low quality bluetooth interface for the mobile telephone. Moreover a NOKIA E70 does not connect to the bluetooth interface. Can anyone help me on this?

My daughter cracked the front passenger side marker assembly light and the dealer quote us $125 for the parts (I can buy the light assembly for $45) and labor to replace it.

Can anyone here tell me step by step how to replace it myself. This price from the dealer seems very high, unless there is a lot of work involved in replacing the light
assembly.

So I took my '99 s80 into the shop to see if they could figure out where my coolant leak was and they came back to me to say they think it is the water pump not functioning correctly. Of course they mentioned that since it will take a lot of work to get to the water pump, I should replace my timing belt and thermostat as well. That makes sense to me since I have over 130k miles on the car...

Hi, im coming up to the 105,000 mile service on the car (on 102) now... I got the car with 97,000 or so on it so iv done nearly 5000 since, and i think its time for my first major servicing of the car...

I figured while im doing work, I can possibly get a headstart on some of the parts I need to change for the 105,000 service... eg. il have the mech inspect the timing belt and so on,...

I just bought a 2000 Volvo S80 T6. My first Volvo. I'm normally a Honda guy, but I wanted something sorta on the luxury side with a little speed still. My questions are, first:

The power door locks on drivers side front and rear doors don't work. They make noise when I hit the lock button, but they don't lock or unlock (but pass side does). What do you think this could be?...

I need any advice on R and R headlight lenses on my 2004 S80 T6.I have zenon bulbs.I took it to a dealership,but they told me they are only authorized to replace the entire unit,for a cost of $1200 per light plus new software for them.$2800-$3000 total.I bought after market lenses,now I could use any tips I can get.Thank's in advance.

I'm probably going to be buying an S80 this weekend... used, not new. I was looking at the engine specs... 10+:1 compression ratio on the 2.8 twin turbo... I take it that means I'll have to run premium fuel, right?

My 2002 S80 T6 has a 4sp auto that'll also shift as if it had a manual valve body.

1) Anyone know what model / manufacturer this tranny is?

2) Source for Filter/gasket/seal kit?

3) Refill capacity?

4) Required fluid standards?

Have poor reception on radio. FM does not appear to have a great reception range and Medium (AM?) and Long wave are not received at all, just a lot of background noise. Appears to be a problem with aerial. I am not aware of where it is located and the route fot connections to the radio.

My 1999 S80 2.5TDI got problem which the power steering fluids came out due to a leak on a connected pipe. Today RAC came and found it and fixed. When we refilled the power steering fluid into, and turn on engine and try the steer, I can heard noise from the power steering pump. The guy told me to fix the pump problem as soon as posible....

Hi. Recently my 2004 S80 have been acting strangely.
When I turned the ignition on the Boot Open warning would come on, and indeed the boot was open. It seemed initially that using the remote key to open the doors was the problem, but then I noted that it would happen if I used the key itself, or the extra key, so the unlocking mechanism seemed to be the problem.

Hello i am having some trouble when i turn on my heat i smell this weird smell its not antifreeze but its very weird. It kinda of smells like that stuff that you put on a toothache but not that strong. as long as i leave the heat off i dont smell it, but as soon as i turn it on it starts. I just bought an '04 S80 and the car idles at around 7000 to 8000 RPM, is this normal. I normally drive a Chevy Pickup which idles at under 5000 RPMs, so it seems high to me.

When I turn on my HU-801 stereo the display shows "Reversing Aid". After approx. 5 min the message disappears and the sound returns back.

What is the problem and why is the message "Reversing Aid" displayed? How can I solve the problem?

My S80 2.9 yr 01, radio player built in power amplifier keep working on eventhought i push the button off. i did ask a technician to open and found the built power amp. keep on and warm.

any idea, experience.. what to do ... some of my friend said to clean on off switch button.

After reading a little it says the shift time of 2nd to 3rd gear occurs around 25-86 mph... Mine shifts 100% of the time into 3rd at 20 miles an hour. 1st to 2nd gear is 10 mph and it seems when working 3rd to 4th is 35 mph..... is this right? Should my 2nd gear be going past 40 MPH?
