Hello everyone! I am a new member; I just purchased a '98 v70, and decided I may as well start lurking here to see what I can learn about my new car.

This is my first volvo (I have been a big subaru fan, but the deal was good), so I hope it treats me right! Anyway, Just wanted to say "hi," and thanks to everyone for helping to build this forum for people like...

I have a little oil leak from a pipe(been told it is a turbo related pipe),as you look down over the radiator its the top pipe to the left.Anyhow it has a very slight leak and need to know is this an easy replacement for me to do or does my car need to be garaged.
How much are these pipes.

Hello Group, I just recently purchased this 99 v70 xc awd for my wife Marcia, and the trans fluid doesn't have that new look or smell. Trans works fine, but I wanted to flush & replace filter. Mechanic here says he can not find anything about a filter. Does anyone know more? Thanks. Jim

This seems to be a common issue - the hood release from the car interior won't release the hood. If I have someone in the vehicle pulling the release, I can then pop the hood, but if I pull the release, then go out to pop the hood, no dice. Because of the scenario -it leads me to think that the spriings need some attention (if there are any) - shouldn't they pop the hood slightly up when...

I've got a '98 V70. Fuse no. 6 (Siren alarm and lock) (20amp) keeps blowing every so often. This immobilises the vehicle (normally leaving my wife stranded somewhere). I change the fuse and everything works again and the car will start.

Any ideas on what could be causing it?

OBD on my 99 S80 T6 revealed code P1132 after check engine light came on. I have read in some places that there are 4 O2 sensors (2 front and 2 rear).

If that is true, do I need to change both front O2 sensors for this code?

I have a '98 V70 that needs some help.....The rear hatch will not open from the outside of the vehicle. When you pull the handle it moves a bit, but it requires the interior handle to pushed down. had clicking noise coming from the rear. remove the caliper and find that the parking brake shoe was off. actually it is the brake material not the steel shoe. can i use adhesive to re-seat or must i replace the entire shoe?

Planned to remove front rotors today to have them turned and replace pads all to stop braking vibration. Can anyone tell my if the 36mm nut holding the rotor on has standard or reverse threads? I have a 2000 S70 SE (n/a) with stock 15 inch rims....can I install 16x7 rims without rubbing? The rims are from another Volvo, I believe the style is called Regulus. Sellers claims they are from S80 T6. I don't know what the offset is yet...if it is a few mm different will that be much of an issue?

Just got my new secondhand door mirror off Ebay Passenger Side. I've removed the black triangle from inside the car and loosened two of the three screws. The third i cant get to cleanly due to the door panel. Does this mean the lining has to come off? If so could anybody help with a quick guide.

I own a manual UK spec 97 V70 AWD. It has recently developed an acceleration issue. When I press the gas pedal, the RPMs ramp up normally but, the car doesn't accelerate quickly at all. Hi. I have a '99 V70 T5. My problem is with the Air con temperature. The only way to get cold air is to blip the throttle, (to about 4000 rpm). After this the air blows nice and cold.
