I made this tool at work to check for intake leaks and leaks in the vent system.
Some people will by Fog machines in shops that will do almost the same thing.
This is only a picture of the tool and a small idea of how to use it.
This can only be used with a air compressor.

Evaperator Replacement:
First thing you have to do is disconnect the battery.
Next you will need to remove all the freon.
Next start off by removing the wiper arms.There is a 13mm nut per arm.You may need to remove a black cover to get to the nut.
Then remove the 4 Torxes 25 screws holding the plastic cover under the the wiper arms.You will have to also remove the 2 clamps...

These are Volvo instructions.
Remove
The oil dipstick and its pipe.
The splashguard under the engine.

Drain the oil and remove the oil filter.
Release the oil cooler from the sump.Hang up at the rear.
Remove the screw from the bracket for the fuel line.

Removing the oil sump(oil pan)

Slacken off all screwsholding the oil sump.

A couple of weeks ago I had the oil changed/summer wheels installed. The tech said a rear caliper was seized, he was able to free it and changed the pads.

Hi. I have a '99 V70 T5. My problem is with the Air con temperature. The only way to get cold air is to blip the throttle, (to about 4000 rpm). After this the air blows nice and cold. Then after a while it loses it's effect. I'm told the gas level is good. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.

I have a 2000 S70 SE (n/a) with stock 15 inch rims....can I install 16x7 rims without rubbing? The rims are from another Volvo, I believe the style is called Regulus. Sellers claims they are from S80 T6. I don't know what the offset is yet...if it is a few mm different will that be much of an issue?

I have a '98 V70 that needs some help.....The rear hatch will not open from the outside of the vehicle. When you pull the handle it moves a bit, but it requires the interior handle to pushed down. Planned to remove front rotors today to have them turned and replace pads all to stop braking vibration. Can anyone tell my if the 36mm nut holding the rotor on has standard or reverse threads? Hi, I have a 98 S70. When I lock the doors with the remote the hazards flash. But, the LED on the dash does not work and there is no alarm module under the hood.

Any way to get the LED to work (looking like an armed alarm) when I lock the doors? Or is there an alarm unit you can buy to get the whole system to work?

1999 V70 AWD XC runs great and slightly above midway on temp gauge - except when climbing hills on freeway, the temp rises just 2 notches below red on temp gauge. As soon as level ground reached, it comes down within 10-20 seconds.

Antifreeze is clean and right level on overflow - not sure of ratio to water. Oil is new and full. Thanks

I want to replace my power steering pump on my 98 V70 AWD. I checked my Haynes manual on the subject, and they recommend to take it to a dealer because of the "special tools needed to transfer both the reservoir and pulley".

Power steering pumped groaned. Replaced. New one groans a little less loudly. Barely noticeable at idle, VERY noticeable while turning steering wheel. Hello, this is my first post and unfortunately, i'm asking for help.

I checked the archives but may have missed a topic about removing an ignition switch. Mine goes to the first position then stop's dead, any more pressure to get to the start position and I know I'll break the key. Tried a little lube but that didn't help at all. I'm sure it's a mechanical type problem. Is there any special trick to getting the switch out?
