My 2001 Volvo engine turns off in a way that makes you think that you did something wrong. The automatic is in park, but when you turn the ignition to off, the engine drops like you just let the clutch out on a manual. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this anything to worry about?

I'm new here and this is my first Volvo. I bought it used last spring and it now has 72000 miles on it. It seems like a great car except on hard left turns there is a very noticable grinding noise from the front end. Sometimes the noise will continue for awhile after the turn has been completed. However, my mileage has dropped fro 27.1 to 22.5 for the last week.

I know the computer has to regulate itself but is such a drop in mileage correct as I thought improved airflow meant more mpg?

I have a 2004 XC70 and I need new tires. I noticed on Tirerack that the OEM Pirelli Scorpion STRs are listed as a light truck/SUV tire. Is that really necessary for this vehicle? I'm looking at replacing them with a higher performance all-season road tire like the Continental ContiPremierContacts. Any suggestions, experience or recommendations?

Fuel Filler door locked, pulled fuses, OK. Central locking system does not lock rear doors. After manually locking the doors, remote does not unlock the rear doors or fuel filler cap. The manual recommends oil change every 7500 miles, but I have always had the first oil change with the new cars I have driven at 1000-1500 miles.
Is Volvo different from other cars?

It's behind the cluster of three push switches which direct the airflow in the cabin. Are there any tips on how to gain access to the rear of this panel in order to replace the lamp.
