Hi i've got a 2000 1.6i s40. I want to make it sound good by either fitting a induction kit or drilling the air box or something. Has anyone got any tips, know where to look for parts or got any helpful pictures of what theirs looks like.

Does anyone know of a performance exhaust kit in North America? I am looking for the headers, downpipe, muffler etc. Any help would be appreciated. I'm after some easyish cheap ways of making my s40 engine sound nice. I've hurd people mentioning the air filter before, but they look round in shape on websites and i know from bits and bobs of servicing in my car it looks like a rectangle filter pad. Does this require a bit more modding? What else will help with sound? New exhaust maybe? I also hear filters can help fuel economy?

I replaced my 98 S40 headlights with twin headlight units.
They are working fine except when I switch to high beam the low beam turns off.
Is there a simple fix for this, or a relay available on the net.
I live in Australia and Volvo parts are hard to get here.

There is an interesting smell that is noticable when the car is stopped.
(2001 S40 99000 miles). It smells like oil that is left on the manifold that burns off after you dribble some when changing the oil. It has persisted for over a week now and I do not see any leaks under the vehicle. Does anyone have any ideas?
