Hello All,

Getting ready to commit to an order through a dealer in Germany for an ordered V50 T5 manual (still deciding on FWD vs AWD).

We plan on getting the Comfort, Premium, Audio, and "Advance (NAV, Climae, Xenons) Packages and were debating upgrading to the dynamic stability and traction control over the standard set up.

Any thoughts? The package is not...

I wonder if someone knows de radio reference (or part number) that can explicitly identify the radio installed on my vehicle.

Found some information on but none that states that the product will work on V50.

The European version of the V50 T5 AWD 17" wheel can come with
Continental sport tires. The American version comes with Michelin
grand-touring tires.
Is there a known difference in springs/shocks/anti-roll bars
between the two versions, or is it only the tires?

Just purchased a V50 t5 and am wondering if anybody has encountered a couple of issues:

1. Engine vibration at 1950-2000 rpm, as you rev up motor slowly (parked) from idle to about 2000 rpm the whole car shakes, seems as if there is a balance issue in the motor? Anybody experience this?

2. Poor Radio reception? On the freeways with no major reception...

I bought a V50 T5 AWD a month ago, and would like to get a seperate set of rims, to mount some snow tires on. Can I buy used 16" X 6.5 rims for any other Volvo products? I would like to not buy them new from Volvo for $190 CDN each.

I love my V50 ... I have the sports package with the 17" rims and I'm looking to get snow chains but the factory chains are so expensive ... why do they insist you must use their spyder chains?

Yeah nice vehicle, sorta sportishhhhhh n got some nice features to offer like the CD changer, supportive seats, nice interiors n wot not…..?? all the stuff u’d drool over, at least I did, but one thing I somewhat dislike is the steering wheel should have bin little small/smart and with better stuff , to go with the luxurious interiors…!

We ordered a V50 AWD last November and it should be delivered in early February. This is our first Volvo and I'm wondering which dealer-installed accessories to order. I have just taken delivery of a V50, and am having difficulty with the integrated phone facility.

I am using a Vodafone SIM from my 'pay as you go' phone and I can only recieve calls on it.

When I try to make an outgoing call, the phone symbol on the display is in the 'off-hook' position for a couple of seconds, then it returns to the on-hook...

It woul be great if a V50 user could tell me the turn radius
of the V50 (either in feet or in meter). Is it smaller than
5.5 meters ? This info is quite essential to me as my parking
place is rather small and a small turn radius would favour to
park easily. I already asked the Volvo dealer here but he
did not have this info handy...
