My "bulb out" dashbord indicator came on and after checking all lights I could not find a burnt out bulb. I took the car to the local dealer and they told me the "bulb failure relay" was bad and needed replacing. I decided to try and replace it myself but so far I'm not doing to good.

Can someone tell me how can I adjust the kickdown cable to make the gear change quicker on my 940..?

The crimp stopper on mine is currently at the cable sleeve without any gap. At the throttle spool, it's not tight, just right. The first 3 gears I can fathom, shifting in mostly about 1700 rpm, but the 4th is like, only changing when the rpm reaches 2200-2300.

My rear shocks on my 960 are a bit tired and I am thinking of replacing them. Is this a fairly easy job? What would you recommend as replacements as I know the Nivomats are very expensive.

I overheated my 940 to the point that the head warped 0.022". The block looked very good given that the car has 140Kmi on it. My 960 starting pumping a heavy concentration of sulfur dioxide through the air system yesterday evening. I'm guessing either my EGR or PCV valve has died. Where are they located and is there a "backyard mechanic" way to check them??

Have a rear fog light out need to replace the bulb . Not sure how to take apart plastic housing to repalce the bulb? Anyone with some pointers?

I am the proud owner of a 1992 940 Wagon Turbo (60,000 mi) that I bought yesterday. Everything works great on it but when I cold start it, I need to give it some gas or it will stall.

Oddometer and speedo stopped dead. Other gauges are oK

Getting a reading in mV to the plug on the back of the instrument panel from the speed sensor. About 30mV at idle in first (on axle stands) rises with revs.

So something is coming from the sensor.

Have 95 940 where VIN says it a Turbo. If you are moving rapidly and continuously the A/C is so cold you have to turn it down. However, at slow speeds or if you have to stop and wait for a light it is likely to start blowing warm air. It does seem that after it has been moving for 30 minutes or so it is less inclined to turn warm, but that is not universally true. Any ideas?

I am having a problem with my passenger side headlamp on my 1994 940. When the lights are on, the passenger side headlamp is dimmed, and the passenger blinker light does not function properly. It stays solid unless i press the brake with the turning signal on, and that only works half the time. When the lights are off the turning signal blinks fast as if the bulb was dead.

Hi all....I just borrowed my folks car, its a 1994 940 sedan . When I got home from the store I cant get into the back doors either side. Did i hit a button that stops entry to rear doors? I've ordered all my stuff through Crutchfield, but there wasn't a master sheet for this specific car so im kinda on my own for the instructions.

Began changing plugs in our 1995 940 turbo this weekend and could not for the life of me get the socket to fit around the back spark plug (i.e the one farthest from the front of the engine). It seems that the manifold is in the way of the 13/16 socket, which is too thick to fit around...
