I'm looking to replace the front discs and calipers on my '91 940 Turbo. I've come across some pretty inexpensive refurbished calipers on Swedish Engineering Used Parts (hosted on eBay) and was wondering what I should check to make sure I'm buying the right thing and that the calipers are in good shape. I know my calipers are of the Girling type (with ABS).

I was losing coolant (empty exp. tank after a 5 mile journey) Originally I thought this was an e/fan problem as it wasn't cutting in at idle after a journey. But after finding a small amount of coolant on the garage floor, I traced it to a split pipe coming out of Oil Filter base. Pipe replaced, problem solved.

I started my car yesterday after sitting for about a week. The Trans arrow starting flashing and the mode selector lites are flashing in sequence. W-S-E. When I put the selector in reverse it was fine, I than moved it into drive and the vehicle didn't move, I reved the engine and it engaged. I rode fine shifting like normal. My daughters 1992 960 wagon died on her way to church this morning. Upon inspection I determined that the timing belt broke.

Does this engine B6304F have an interference head? If there is any risk that the engine was damaged, I will most likely part it out.

If it is simply a matter of relacing the belt, I am sure she can get a few more miles out of "Blue Betsy"

I'm looking at purchasing a 1994 940 Turbo wagon. The biggest problem is this: when the headlights are ON, the dash lights (and the fuel gauge) are OFF. I've been having much trouble in locating speakers for a 1994 960 Volvo. The difficulty is attributed to the fact that my vehicle requires 8-ohm impedance speakers (Bose system), whereas most speakers are 4-ohm.

Strange problem that just popped up. Driving home from a baseball game on cruise control. Notice climbing a hill the speed is dropping -- very unusual with this car as it tends to keep pretty consistent speed. Didn't think too much about it as I crested the hill and the speed went back up -- until the next hill.

I want to install a LSD on my 940. I would like to know which Volvos 900-series comes with it. Also, this factory LSD, it is a clutch type? I heard Dana 30 carriers also fit, like the Dana30 Detroit TrueTrac all gear driven LSD, but I am not sure.

what's the difference between the F and the K
is the block the same

i.e. will all the sensors fit from the F on the K block

so can I put the F manifolds on, fit the sensors and turn the carb engine into injection?

last couple of days I have lost dip/main beam .
dim-dip, spots & flashers work fine
all fuses are fine
pulled all the fusebox relays & lamp falure sensor and found
no external damage(burnt/corroded pins)
