My A/C has had a slow leak and now needs a recharge, I was thinking of using the HC12a when I recharge.

Hello all! I am new to the board and new to the world of Volvo's. We just bought a 1998 V90 and we are in love with it. I love to dig in and learn everything I can about the cars I own and this one is no exception. I bought a OBD scanner from Scan Gauge(i won't mention the website as that may appear to be a promo) for troubleshooting and for basic driving info. I cannot recommend it...

On the window sills of all 4 doors of my S90 the leather is wrinkled on on the front and rear of the sill.

Is this a design flaw or was the previous owner messing around?

Either way, can it be fixed fairly easily by taking the panel apart?

I normally dont do a lot of driving on the highway but have done a lot the last couple of days and I noticed that it runs at a really high RPM. Going about 70 to 80 on the highway it runs just under 3,000 RPM's this seems very high to me. At about 65 it will run at about 2,500 to 2,600 RPM's. What does everyone else's run at? Hi, bought my daughter a 1998 S90 and have been tweaking it over the last 4 months. The strus and shocks appear to be weak and I plan to leave the strus to a pro since i do not want ot compress the spring. On the rear shocks, the upper arm bolt cna not be seen easily- Is this something best left ot the shop?

My wife just called me and said that she had a small magnet pushed into hte key hole of the ignition.

Am I hosed? Is there anyway I can take this thing apart to see if I can fish out the magnet? I looked on the web and really couldn't find any resourses on how to take this thing apart.

My check engine light came on and I couldn't do anything about it for a couple of days. Then my a/c compressor died so I had to take it in. They said the check engine light was the vacuum hoses need to be replaced. Anyone know how hard it is to replace them or how much they cost. They wanted $160 just for the hoses plus labor.

I just put new tires on my S90 this week and ever since I put them on if I take a turn somewhat sharp it feels like the rear end is trying to break lose and is sliding around. These cars should/could get much better milage if the xmission would lock up in OD at speed. Has anyone come across any fix(chip change, etc.) to get it to lock up at speed?? Every time you let-up on the gas, then re-apply it, they change back and rev-up before going back into high gear. Do I have a dud, or is this normal? Any Ideas would be great..

my S90 antenna starts to pull up but stops half way, idont get a good signal at some points and it is frustrating when your trying to listen to something on the radio. i manually pull it up, but then the next time i start my car and radio, it doesn't pull up all the way.

This car is a pleasure to drive on the highway except for the excessive wind noise. I assume the noise is caused by the older style windows and rain gutter along the roof line. Is there any type of deflector that helps without ruining the appearance of the car?
