i had my 1994 t5 stolen in june and never seen it since and it put me off t5s for abit so i bought a 1994 850 2.5 glt.
the sunroof interior slider material as started to come away.how can i remove the slider to glue this back on. any help on this would be great

After I run about 2 hours in a intown blockade (run very very slowly aprox 10 km in 2 hrs) the yellow arrow (transmission light) start flashing, also the econom. green LED.
The transmission works fine, no problem with lower speeds (starts nice, 1st, 2nd, ....)
acceleration is fine.
I already made another around 1000 km, intown and highway from 1 up to 140 km/hr (need to came back...

Here's the scene,

1) Took out the Air hose filter (the one from the Filter Container and goes directly to the turbo unit) and cleaned it, really well using a towel.

2) Plugged it back in and the car starts, and in less than 10 seconds, sputters and die. Lambda light illuminated.

3) Unplugged hose again and rechecked for any blockage, nothing.

The horns are ok, I verified.
I suspect a wire or maybe the switch in the steering wheel.
Where is located the switch? Because of the Airbag I supose is not...

Is it possible to fit longer rear seatbelts in my 850 wagon? For safety reasons I want to place my newborn son in a Römer childseat, instead of in a babylift, but the belts are not long enough. Can I replace the belts?

T bought a can of r134 and a charging kit, I thought the low pressure side was behind the passenger headlight. i took my car to autozone and they told me i have error code P0705. I think this translates to T"rans Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction". Does anyone have any insight on what this means, and what I can do to fix it. While at autozone they told me my alternator was at 13.3, when it should be around 14.5. can anyone confirm this range?

I was able to remove the fan but it has a lot of connectors.

After a bad night, when I forgot the roof open and a f*****g rain managed to put inside my car 10 cm of water, and after a day of work to remove the water and to sear the inside, I realise that the ventilation goes very strange.

I have followed some of the programming instructions I have found on various forums and websites but have not had any luck getting it to work.

I replaced the battery in the keyless remote and still no luck.

My 850 TDI seems to produce the infamous diesel black smoke. It is not really noticeable on normal cruising but under acceleration it is at its worst.

Any ideas of how I can reduce this. Is there anything specific for this engine that would be worth checking?

I have a '94 850. When I hit the brakes, a warning light appears on the dash, as if there is a brake light out. However, all bulbs are accounted for and working. I do have a fog light out, but would that cause this fault?

ive just changed the gear oil in my 1994 850 and the fault in the engine electronic system warning light on the dash has come on.i took the breather hose off at the air box and cleaned it as well whilst the car was running

Open the box and lift out the plastic cover where the bolts are below.

1994 Volvo 850 Turbo, 139k. Well, to make a long story short, drove the car to Maryland and back 3 straight weekends (6 hour drive each way) with no problems. Another seat issue, '94 850. I am not sure if it is the cable or the motor that drives the seat back? It has gotten progressively worse over the last 2 or 3 years, and now does not lift at all. I hit the switch, and the motor cranks for maybe 1/2 second, then stops. I can hit it umpteen times, and it does not lift the seat back. All other motors work fine.

Hi, I'm a new member and I've got a 1993 Volvo 850 with about 190K
miles. The AC blower motor seems to no longer have any speed control.
It still seems to blow cold air but always at the same slow speed. I live in Southwest Florida so this is getting to be a problem!!
Any ideas on what might be the problem? Do I need a new blower motor??

Hi folks, finaly got round to changing the front tyres today, had a pair of Avon ZV3's fitted and finaly the car drives correctly at all speeds (drivers side front used to vibrate very badly at 60mph +, suspect the last owner had run it with very low pressur for some time)

Any how just checked the pressures the garage set them to which is 29PSI. I know volvo recommends around 32PSI...

3 weeks into ownership of a 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo sedan with 53k mi, this is my first foray into the world of Volvo.
Issues:
1)I've been impressed with low end power gained by K&N filters on all my cars in the past(& mom's nissan murano the most!), will this help even more so with the turbo?
2)gas mileage is 20-21mpg at best in 50/50 mixed driving, this seems low...
