What is the difference between the 850 turbo and the 850 t-5r sedan. They always have these selections when looking for parts.

My 1996 Volvo 850 ac is acting funny; I had it recharged and it now cool on and off. if it sits overnight it will blow cold until the next time I shut off the engine, after restarting it will only blow hot air.
I noticed the low pressure line and the cylinderical tank in front of the compressor are freezing up on the outside when the ac is working.

what is the problem with this...

I looked thru the site to find out who has had the problems with the blower fan on the 850. There are a few posts but I'm not sure what the actual fix is. Mine blows on the 4th setting only. If someone has had the same problem and fixed it, please let me know what parts I would require so I can order them up. i have to replace the left control arm on my 850, according to my mechanic. any one know where i can get one online and what is involved(bearings, nuts and bolts to replace, etc.) thanks.

my 850 Turbo has a tendency to vibrate heavily when i drive on the freeway.
most noticeable when i hit 60-65 mph.
the vibration seem to be coming from the front passenger tire, but hard to say, since i really just feel it on the accelerator pedal.

do you think a tire balancing would solve it?
i had the front suspension mount replaced last year.

any ideas?

Well after 13 years the dashboard and radio lights are starting to wear out on my 1995 850 GLT. Need your help on this big pain, I have with my 94 850 Tubo Wagon. In the AM I can shift from Park to any other position on the slector. As soon as the car warms up the slector sticks in park. hi guys I did post in another forum as I couldnt work out how to start a new one ! my recently purchased T5R has no ABS or TRACS lights on the dash. garage who recenctly changed the discs commented it is an MOT fail . I have 10 months to fix it.

My 1996 850 has just failed its MOT due to,among a couple of minor things,the ABS light not illuminating.

Having looked in the handbook I'm unsure whether the warning light is supposed to illuminate upon start up along with the rest - mine stays off which is leading me to suspect it may just be a blown dash bulb.

Greetings everyone. I'm volunteered (again and most likely indefinately) to repair the inlaw's 1996 Volvo 850. The car has an estimated 400k and has gone through 2 radiators in it's life. Not too shabby.

I'm looking to replace the current radiator with a respectable unit, but am unsure what to purchase. I've been told not to spend $400 for the OE radiator...

I just put my '95 850 into a ditch and pretty much the whole front end is crushed (engine is fine though). Im definitely going to be buying a new (to me) 850...hopefully this one is going to have a turbo..Im wondering how hard it is (in case i ever have to) put the enginge from the old 850 into the new one. !995 850 turbo will turn over but will not start. My son drove it to fast food restaurant. When they left it started and then died. I vaguely remember that this happened before, something with blowing off a air intake hose attached to the fuel injection and the engine doesn't get proper mixture to start. I can not tell if it has spark.

Does anyone else have a hard time keeping the windows in your 850 free from fog? Even with the air conditioner compressor turned on, it fogs up very easily. It seems as though I'm constantly fiddling with the controls to clear the windows. Any ideas?
