I have recently had a problem removing my wheel from my S60. It has standard Volvo fitment locking wheelstuds. What happend was the top part of the stud( the part where the adaptor fits) snapped clean off the stud. This then give me no way of undoing the stud without a fightand no way would I have been able to do it on the side of the road had I had a puncture. I replaced all the locking studs...

I've done some searching around and the lowest various manufacturers (European as well as Ozzie) make their springs is 35mm. The only way to get the slammed look is to go for coilovers which H&R make but costs quite a bit.

I am just looking for new tires and was wondering which would be my max tire size I can place on my rims. I currently have P195/60/R15. Can I possible put a 205 or 215 on the rims?

Hi, i am thinking of buying a 68 mod 2d amazon. And i wonder if the rear suspension of a volvo 142 can easily be bolted on? Cause i want disc breaks on all four wheels. Also i wonder if 240 diffs fits the 142 rear suspension, cause i want a new diff whith a lamell break on it. I dont remember the part number.
And last, does the motor mount for the B18/16 fit the b230/b23 or B30/b36?

I am about to replace my steel wheels with Regulus alloys. Can I re-use my bolts from the steel wheels until I can get (afford) some nice shiny chrome bolts?
I know they have a dull finish but don't know whether the length and shape is correct.

I need some advice. The guy who changes my tires said he didn't think I could 'legally' put 195/65 tires (steel rims) on my V40. Says the maximum allowed is officially just /60. He didn't think it would actually be a problem, but warned I could have problems with the insurance company I had a claim. Ideas?

Not sure it that is the proper name, but was told that the thread inside the wheel needs to be
re-done in order for the lugnut to fit back in, and will cost 200, does that sound about right?

The 240 I have observed. Why is the rear tires pushed in and the front and stick out? By athat I mean the Wheels. I was wonderin if i could get some wheel spacers for the rear wheels so that they are even with the body of the car. So that they are straight with the front wheels.

problem is, ive gone through three tyres now as the thicker rubber bead wich is right next to the wheel rim sticks out just a bit further than the rim itself.... i guess to protect the rim a little from curb scuffs......

Can anyone suggest a decent wheel for a 64 122s? It's all stock at the moment, and I'm just looking for some nice chrome or alloy wheels which won't look to gaudy but a bit better than the old steel ones. I'm looking at getting a 2005 S40 T5 AWD. I have questions about getting new rims for the summer. I want to know the largest size you can put on the car for the following:

a ) Widest 17" rims (how many inches wide)?

b ) Widest 18" rims (how many inches wide)?

c ) Widest tires to put on the above 17" rims?

d ) Widest tires to put on...

just wondering if the 4stud alloy wheels from the volvo 850 will fit onto a volvo 440? the wheels look identical to those on the 1994 440 turbos(6 spoke), but is the stud pattern different?

Maybe you'll agree with me when I say that one reason why the XC90 does not have the masculine appeal of the X5, is becuase of the skinny/elegant deisgn of the alloy wheels.
