1996 turbo, premium sound am/fm casette and cd
no amp, has cable for cd changer routed to trunk but no cd changer

ive checked the fuses they are all good, I have power to the unit and all connectors are in good condition and secure, power antenna lead is good and attena functions when power is turned on

the units back light illuminates...

Has anyone installed this ipod adaptor that ipd is selling: on a SC-816 factory headunit commonly installed on the S70?

Specifically I'm interested in two things related to ease of use. First, ipd claims you can navigate the ipod's playlist using the radio's controls but since the song text couldn't possible come through on a SC-816 I can imagine getting lost sifting...

I've bought used remote for my C70 1999. The remote has exact serial number that I need.
I've went to my dealer and he said that he won't program it, because I need a brand new remote, that has never been programmed. From used one it's not possible to get the PIN code or something.

What can I do now?
New one costs fortune and programming costs the same.

Well, after speaking to Todd at Heico, I explored the idea if installing the Heico/VizuaLogic dual dvd setup in my S80. This kit is advertised towards the XC90, but will work in other models. Inquire with Heico. Depending on the width of your headrest posts they should be able to get you squared away on your P2 vehicle.

i have a 96 850 i was installing an aftermarket radio because the cd player will not play cds it just spits tehm back out and i think i may have touch the wrogn wires now my ac wont stop blowing andi have no power from the radio with either teh aftermarket or the stock radio none of the fuses are blown its just not working can someone tell me what i can possiably do to resolv ethis problem

I have a HU-803 in my Volvo V70 which has started to display CD ERROR and refuses to play or eject a CD. Does anyone know of a cheap way of getting this resolved? Is it easy to do myself or would you recommend I seek professional help?

I have a 2000 C70 and bought a alpine IVA-W200 head unit and a alpine MRV-F345 4 ch amp. I went today to get them put in and was told that I needed to get 3 way crossovers to run them. They suggested getting the dynaudio but I looked into it and they are not cheap. I was wondering if the crossovers are necessary to run the system?

89 760 gle. has sr7145 and tp7145. head unit works great, but cassette does not (does not light up or anything). have swapped for a known working unit and still nothing. i noticed on the back of the head unit, there is a 2 wire dongle not connected to anything (orange and black). perhaps this is the problem? or is there a button i am totally overlooking to make the cassette work? Ok, I just picked up a pair 6x9 and am thinking about putting them in the the rear deck of my 740. I was wondering if any one has done this before or knows a site i can find some info. I've tried a Belkin FM transmitter, and the sound quality is just not very good. The last car I had had an AIWA stereo with the 1/8" jack right on the front, and it worked great with my Sandisk Sansa E250.

I just returned from the dealer, having paid nearly $1000 to get an iPod adapter installed and was looking greatly forward to having my entire music collection available in the car. I've just bought a '89 Volvo 740 GL, and I want to replace the original CR-4041 car stereo with a retail CD/MP3 player.
Does anyone know how to get the CR out? The retail CD player is much smaller (nearly half the height), will that be a problem? And what about wiring?

i ordered some headlights of ebay and they said it was for all s/v40 models from 02/96 to 01/04. it doesn't fit mine. i asked the seller who said i'd need new connectors from volvo. the unit itself only has one connection where my old one had 4. what on earth did they send? just found out the seller will pay for the connectors if volvo stock them. any ideas?
